A number of boroughs noted a spike in cases of carbon monoxide incidents from people living above catering premises which contained a solid fuel oven, such as a wood fired tandoori or pizza ovens. As a result the group felt there was sufficient evidence of high risk activity to undertake a focused project examining compliance rates of businesses known to have a solid fuel oven.
