London Borough Legionellosis Incident Protocol
On 16th November 2018 Alehm’s All Borough Health and Safety Group published the London Boroughs Legionellosis Incident Protocol
It will provide guidance to local authorities on how to deal with incidents of Legionella infection in their areas.
Alehm Publishes its Annual Report for 2017-18
The annual report has been published and can be found at the link below. It summarises the activity undertaken by the charity over last year and provides information on the financial accounts. Members will be asked to accept the report at the AGM on 11th December.
Low cost training courses for local authorities
Alehm is developing a range of low cost training courses for local authorities. If you have a specific training need in your authority that we can assist with, please let us know so we can source trainers and assess wider demand. Register details with firstname.lastname@example.org
Approved Premises Training for food officers on 14th December at Wandsworth Council.
We have Madeleine Smith from the University of Birmingham to provide an update training course for enforcement officers on 14th December. Cost £130 for members and £165 for non-members. Alehm meeting on strategic management has been rescheduled and is now to be held on 11th December at Walbrook Wharf. See attached draft Agenda Alehm 11th December 2018
The Annual General Meeting will also be held on this date, immediately after the main meeting.

18th January 2019: The Future of Environmental Health in Local Government, meeting at Walbrook Wharf to consider a national group to support local authority based environmental health. 14th January: Legal training for housing enforcement officers, training postponed due to Coroner requiring the training room. The Future of Environmental Health in Local Authorities
On 18th January, there will be a meeting of national environmental health representatives to discuss how we can better support the future of environmental health services.
Peter Wright from Gateshead is leading the meeting and has asked for some background information from local authorities to help steer the meeting and the future work of the group.
