An introduction to effective use of open-source intelligence (OSINT). This topic covers the effective use of search engines and social networking sites, open sources of information and intelligence, research of individual, company & business information, and the investigating of imagery and geolocation Intelligence. This course will also touch on ‘digital self-defence’ as there is a growing issue with local government officers experiencing trolling through social media. This emerging area will help officers to manage their digital footprint.
