Common Flaws (In prosecution cases) – Last few places left!!
This training session will address some of the most common flaws that regularly arise in local authority prosecution cases. There will be opportunity to discuss issues that have been encountered by delegates and will include:
- Identifying the correct person (Notices and Corporate entity issues).
- Shortcuts – Exhibiting hearsay.
- Shortcuts – No reference to an offence chart/points to prove.
- Poor drafting in notices.
- Poor drafting in witness statements.
- Failure to offer interview/poor interview.
- Timing out.
- Not working as a team (Circumstantial Evidence, neutralising flaws, selling the case).
- Poor active case management.
- Not identifying the point of the prosecution (failing to achieve the objective).
