- The training session will include the following:
- An exploration of the relationships between housing, health and damp/mould considering the problem from a structural point of a view as well as daily living.
- The session will be a refresher for experienced practitioners as well as training point for those newer to the profession in understanding what needs to be considered when risk assessing the actual and perceived risks associated with damp and mould complaints.
- Will cover use of the Housing inspection to be able to organise and interpret data and evaluate the evidence on a case by case basis.
- Consider the use of HHSRS regarding damp and mould and excess cold as well as overcrowding.
- Consider elements of housing construction and defects to explore rising and penetrating damp.
- Cover causes of condensation that can be addressed through improvement and those aspects that are within the control of the occupier.
