Trainers from Public Health England are running a training course for local authority food enforcement officers on challenge testing of the shelf life applied to food products.

This workshop aims to assist in carrying out sampling according to legislation and guidance, provide advice on taking batches of samples, interpretation of the results, when and where to swab and why private laboratory testing may differ from samples submitted to PHE laboratories. It will also include some information on shelf life studies and provide information on what information is required and what is involved.

A small charge of £17.00 per person is payable for the course, to cover the cost of lunch and refreshments for delegates.
